Some of you may remember way back when we showed you Danette's test shots in the first issue of sugartwist, and we're pleased to finally feature her!

Danette's been modeling for 3 years so far, and has remained very down-to-earth about it. "I like the fact that modeling is something I do, not who I am," she says. "I'm a typical person, pursuing a dream and a career." But, still... she loves this job! "I used to be pretty shy," she admits, "and modeling has helped me get to know who I am and be less self-conscious."

The inner game is big for Danette: as a model, "you yourself can make the picture what it is... with the emotion, mood, feeling you're trying to create, when someone looks at the picture, they can feel what you're feeling. If you're not really into it emotionally, the picture will be boring!"

What does she like about these sugartwist photos? "I like knowing a lot of people will be looking at these pictures...one more step up!" Pragmatism out of the way, she waxes philosophical again: "I want someone looking at these photos to see a serious, dramatic side to me, but still soft and welcoming... inviting, but I mean business!"
